A Little Chocolate Happiness

“Happiness doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, two simple ingredients are all you need to create something wonderfully delicious.”

Welcome to Sprinkle Goodies – Where Baking Meets Happiness.

If you love chocolate, this simple two-ingredient dessert is made for you. Rich dark chocolate and softly whipped cream come together in a silky, airy chocolate mousse that feels special without requiring a long ingredient list.

It is quick enough for a last-minute sweet treat, beautiful enough to serve in little glasses, and versatile enough to use as a filling for cakes and other desserts.

Simple ingredients. Chocolate comfort. Homemade happiness.

Ingredients

200 ml cold heavy cream (about ¾ cup + 1 tablespoon)

100 g dark chocolate (about 3½ oz), finely chopped

Optional for decoration: a little extra dark chocolate, grated

Preparation

1. Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave in short intervals, stirring between each one, or melt it gently over a double boiler. Stir until completely smooth, then let it cool until lukewarm.

2. Whip the cold heavy cream until it forms soft, fluffy peaks.

3. Add the lukewarm melted chocolate to the whipped cream and gently mix until smooth and evenly combined.

4. Transfer the chocolate cream to a piping bag and pipe it into serving glasses.

5. Finish with a little grated dark chocolate on top.

6. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Baking Tips

Let the melted chocolate cool to lukewarm before combining it with the whipped cream. If it is too hot, it can deflate or melt the cream.

Use good-quality dark chocolate for the best flavor.

For a firmer texture, refrigerate the mousse for at least 1–2 hours before serving.

This chocolate cream also works beautifully as a filling for cakes, cupcakes, or layered desserts.

Storage

Cover the glasses and keep them refrigerated. For the best texture and freshness, enjoy within 1–2 days.
