A light, creamy coffee dessert made with just 3+1 simple ingredients
“Happiness doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, it begins with a little coffee and a creamy spoonful of sweetness.”
Welcome to Sprinkle Goodies – Where Baking Meets Happiness

If you love coffee and easy desserts, this 3+1 Ingredient Coffee Cream is a little treat you will want to make again and again.
It is light, creamy and beautifully coffee-flavored, yet incredibly simple to prepare. You only need a few basic ingredients and a little time in the refrigerator.
The whipped coffee cream can also be enjoyed on its own, so if you prefer a dairy-free version, you can simply skip the whipped cream.
Simple ingredients. Creamy texture. Homemade happiness.
Ingredients
For the Coffee Cream

- 2 tablespoons instant coffee
- 4 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 100 ml (⅓ cup + 1 tablespoon) cold water
- 100 ml (about ⅓–½ cup) heavy whipping cream
For Decoration – Optional
- Coffee beans
- Grated chocolate
Preparation

- Make the coffee cream. Add the instant coffee, powdered sugar and cold water to a bowl. Whip with an electric mixer until the mixture becomes light, fluffy and creamy.
- Whip the cream. In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Combine the creams. Gradually add the whipped coffee mixture to the whipped cream, mixing gently until everything is well combined and creamy.
- Fill the glasses. Spoon or pipe the coffee cream into serving glasses. I used a piping bag for a prettier presentation, but you can simply spoon the cream into the glasses.
- Decorate. Place a coffee bean on top if desired. You can also leave the dessert undecorated.
- Chill. Place the glasses in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Serve. Before serving, you can grate a little chocolate over the top for decoration. This is completely optional. Your light and creamy coffee dessert is ready to enjoy!
Baking Tips
- Use cold heavy cream for the best whipping results.
- For a stronger coffee flavor, you can slightly increase the amount of instant coffee.
- A piping bag makes the dessert look more elegant, but a spoon works perfectly too.
- The grated chocolate and coffee bean decoration are completely optional.
- For a lighter dairy-free version, you can enjoy the whipped coffee cream on its own without adding the heavy cream. Always choose ingredients suitable for your dietary needs.
Storage
Keep the coffee cream covered in the refrigerator and enjoy it within 1–2 days for the best texture and flavor.
Because this is a whipped dessert, it is best served chilled and should not be left at room temperature for a long time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I make this dessert without heavy cream?
Yes. The whipped coffee cream can be enjoyed on its own. It will have a lighter, more intensely coffee-flavored texture.
Can I use regular coffee instead of instant coffee?
Instant coffee is recommended because it dissolves and whips together with the water much more easily. Regular ground coffee is not suitable for this recipe.
How long does the coffee cream need to chill?
Chill the dessert for at least 2 hours before serving. This gives it time to become nicely chilled and helps the flavors come together.
Can I prepare it ahead of time?
Yes. You can prepare the glasses a few hours before serving and keep them refrigerated until needed.
Is the chocolate decoration necessary?
Not at all. The grated chocolate is only for decoration. The dessert is delicious without it.
